Aranew is 20 years old Filipino writer. Her writing career started on 2014 when she wrote her first story Stupidly In Love with You on a notebook. After months of writing on paper, she discovered Wattpad (2015), an online reading site, where she tried to publish stories in a failed attempt. It was also where she came up with her pen name aranew when Wattpad asked her for a username upon registering, and she could not input arabellathenew that's why it became aranew. Around that year, Aranew found it inconvenient to use Wattpad since she did not own a laptop. When she was given her first cellphone, she discovered a way to share her stories through Facebook. Writing on Facebook, Aranew wrote her first story that she thought was well-accepted by a certain group of people. The story was titled Summer Kisses and Winter Tears. The story revolved around Renalyn Venerola, a barren wife who pushed her husband to sleep with her housemaid in order to bear a child. While sharing the story on Facebook, Aranew found her first group of readers who supported her until she finished the novel. Until then, she created stories and share them on Facebook groups where she garnered readers. The stories include Kill Me Not (Historical Fiction), Play with Fire, Belligerent Stares, The Greatest Gift, etc. The turning point of her writing career started on 2018 when she joined various writing groups on Facebook where her writing skill was tested and enhanced by mentors. She became an admin of a writing group that aim to provide points for writers who want to improve their skills. During this year, she applied a job on a publishing house just for fun but she did not expect that they would accept her. She worked hard being a manuscript evaluator where she reviewed manuscript submissions. Later, she quit her job when she was given a new opportunity in her writing career. For Aranew, 2018 was the year where opportunies were in its peak. After being a Manuscript Evaluator of two publishing houses, she gained a lot of tips and tricks on writing. She used what she had learned in her job to write short stories and poems for every manuscript submissions (anthology) and her works were accepted by various publishing houses. The titles of short stories and poems include Buhay na Titig, Melancholy of Twilight and Dawn, Clear Night and Tomb, May Sasabihin Ako, Halika Mahal, and Pahinga. She joined a writing club where she had met underground writers. At this time, she installed Wattpad and started to publish stories. She published the cheat series where the setting is in Venansala, a fictional country and the setting inspiration of her first full-length english novel Kissing The Wind and also the setting of her Tyrant King Academy series. The titles under cheat series include Will You Cheat on Me, Can You Cheat on Me, and Shall You Cheat on Me. One day, she browsed through Youtube and watched a long drive video featuring Mantalongon, Cebu. Aranew got fascinated by the green lands and blue skies of the place, and so she was inspired to write a series that would feature the wonderful place, thus Mantalongon series was born. The titles under Mantalongon series include Hush and Let Me, When Night Falls, Somewhere in Mantalongon, and Don't Fret. Mantalongon series' Don't Fret was where Aranew got the title of her first sci-fi adventure novelette, Don't Fret. She completed Hush and Let Me and tried to submit it to a publishing house but her manuscript was rejected due to the reason that the story theme does not fit any of the imprints under the publishing house. Nonetheless, it was the first time that Aranew submitted a full-length novel and she was motivated to improve her craft. On the year 2019, Aranew had read MoldedMind's novel Loving a Believer on Wattpad. At this point, she had not yet saw the great impact that this novel would bring not only in her writing career but also in her life. After finishing the novel, Aranew was not only inspired but greatly motivated to write spiritual-theme stories on Wattpad and to share the gospel to her readers. Thus, the first story of Tyrant King Academy series titled Constant was written. Sidine, the name of the main character in the story Constant, was not an accidental name. Sidine is an awesome girl that Aranew had met when she tried to register in a government scholarship in her province. She discovered that Sidine was also a Wattpad reader so Aranew asked if she could use Sidine's name in her story. Sidine agreed. When the news of an epidemic in China was broadcasted in local news on January 2020, Aranew was inspired to write an adventure novel where the main character tries to escape the watchful eyes of the authority during an epidemic. She then asked a Wattpad reader named Angela if she could use her name in story and Angela agreed. Aranew named the novel as Don't Fret (she copied the title of her past story) and finished its first chapter on January 30, 2020. Upon the arrival of covid-19 virus in the country and the start of lockdown on March, Aranew had already finished the novel and was revising it. After she wrote Don't Fret, Aranew was inspired to write a series where the theme would show the sins mentioned in the Bible. It was when Revival Series was born. Aranew happened to know some Wattpad readers on Facebook and even though they were not her readers, she tried to reach out to them and ask whether she could use their name in her series. To her surprise, they agreed. The first person to agree was Jewel Laine, thus she used the girl's name for Moonlight Serenade, the first story of Revival Series. Jewel happened to have her friends who were also Wattpad readers, so Aranew also asked them if she could use their names in the series and they agreed. She used Rishell's name in the novel For The Stars Have Sinned, Jemima's name in The Tongue of Death, and Shane's name in Tower and Malice. Aranew also asked some other Wattpad readers such as Marilou, Claire, Jeffery, Rouela, Joan, etc. and they all agreed. (Aranew is thankful for these awesome friends). Later in that year, Monic, Aranew's close friend, invited her to write in pay-to-read platforms. Aranew then ventured in this new opportunity, publishing her revival series for free in order to reach more people. But Aranew reminded her readers to stay in the platform where they have read her stories, such as Wattpad, and to not follow her in other platforms if they haven't downloaded those apps. Currently, Aranew is revising and translating her completed stories. She is also writing ongoing stories and planning for the next stories under Revival Series and Tyrant King Academy series. She is active in Messenger as Aranew Taliman and her email raphashiloh@gmail.com is open for any reader who wants to check on her or to just say hi.
